Our advocacy team promotes environmentally friendly biking in partnership with local bike shops, and includes support from the City of Boulder, CU Environmental Center, Boulder Police and CU Police.

Staying safe includes securing your bike so you aren't left walking. Check out our Knowledge for bike lock recommendations and ratings.
As pictured, be sure to loop your lock around the rear wheel inside the bike triangle, secured to the rack. Ideally you should use a second lock to loop through the other wheel, or secure that wheel with locking skewers.
Note: Given the variability of bike shapes and sizes, no single lock fits all; choose your lock carefully.
BikeIndex.org is the nationally recognized service that lets you register your bikes, e-bikes and scooters for free!
The registry establishes ownership and provides an easy way to list both Stolen and Found bikes. Bike Index's searchable database supports bike recovery for everyone.
